I don't know, I liked the other template. More creative. This one looks like the basic template used by many dailies - Washington Post, NY Times, Le Devoir - who want to brand themselves as serious newspapers. The New Yorker is more creative than that, and so is your blog. But hey, that's just my opinion.
I agree with fp, this setup seems a little too bland and fails to match the wit that so spices John's blog. (I leave you to ponder whether or not this is an April Fool joke).

I'll vote like the Quebeckers in the last referendum:
Nyes
What? No pink? I say "La'a" (That's "No" in Arabic).
Deena, there's a little pink in a special place, just for you.
Perish the thought -- I agree with the Quebecker.
Why no?

Yeah, I agree, but I was starting to get annoyed by how common that other template is. I think four or five classmates chose it.
For this one, I like the clean lines, but there is too much white.
Thanks for the vote, though.
less is more...
Stance of sorrow, seat of woe.
Okay, votes tabulated. It's a tepid 'yes' for the time being.
